Following the deployment of the new e-gates in Schiphol Airport the Dutch Ministry of Interior developed a video presentation showing the next generation border control system.
Schiphol is world’s 6th busiest by international passenger traffic. Only in the past week already more than 10 thousand passengers passed through Vision-Box e-gates.
This new version of the automatic border control gate (ABCG) continues to use the electronic passport as the elected travel document, against which the passenger is verified by face recognition. Nonetheless, the new workflow used is much faster and the design of the gate was improved in order to provide a more pleasant and user-friendly experience to the traveler.
