Mr. Bento Correia, Vision-Box’s President and CEO, was interviewed by TSF radio station. TSF is a Portuguese news radio station, focused mostly in the economic and political fields.
In this interview, Mr. Correia shared his thoughts on the most recent won project in Sweden, as well Vision-Box’s plans for the future regarding the Rwanda, Finland and Latvia projects.
Furthermore, he enhanced the visibility sorrounding the modernization of the Schiphol International Airport, one of the World’s biggest airport.
These projects represent the strong focus in the international markets, Vision-Box expects that 80% of the total revenue from 2011 comes from foreign countries.

Vision-Box is going to exhibit at the ID World Rio de Janeiro 2011, on the 21st and 22nd June, in Brazil. This inaugural Americas Summit on security, mobility and traceability is ID Worldâ€™s first event in South America.
In 2010, Brazil’s economy maintained a steady growth rate of 7.5% compared to 2009 as expected. This was the highest annual rate since 1986. As a result lot of interest in Industry Development has increased.
To detail more information about our experience in the identification matters and automatic border control gates, Vision-Boxâ€™s President andÂ CEO, Mr. Bento Correia, is going to present at the ID World Rio de Janeiro Conference. The conference program includes plenary sessions, breakout seminar and workshops as well as exclusive networking initiatives.
Last week Vision-Box exhibited at the Digital ID World Middle East 2011, from 17 to 18 May, in ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. This exhibition was a big success for Vision-Box, we were able to present our newest products for citizen enrolment with multi-biometric data, document renewal and dispenser, access controls, and boarding solutions for airports and border control solutions.
This return to the Middle East strenghtens our relations with some organizations that have been very eager to know more about our product and solutions.

Almost 5 million Portuguese citizens have the new electronic citizen card, this year alone 550 thousand documents have been delivered. This sums up to half of the Portuguese population.
The new electronic citizen has been introduced by the government in February 2007, in a combined program of e-government. This card includes all the information regarding the ID card, VAT identification number, social security card, social security card, national services health care and voter card.
There are currently 443 service counters in Portugal available to request the National Citizen Card. This counters have Vision-Boxâ€™s enrolment systems to collect biometric data to include in the e-cards.

This visit to Abu Dhabi is a response to a great amount of requests we have been receiving from a lot of Middle East countries in order to present specific new Â products and solutions.
This 12th edition of the Digital ID World Middle East 2011 combines over 30 expert speakers on their experience about different topics such as: how to combat identity theft with the launch of the national ID programme; integration of the ID card as a vital access tool for main government services and how to leverage of the smart card infrastructure to improve border control and health services.
Mr. Miguel Leitmann, Vision-Boxâ€™s Senior Vice President for Marketing and Sales is an invited speaker at this event. The speech takes place on the 18th May and is about the â€śImportance of biometric processing and integration in securing e-bordersâ€ť. Vision-Box is a reference in the automatic border control e-gates, with over 200 e-gates deployed in more than 20 airports, and over 3 million passengers checked.
Mr. Bento Correia, Vision-Box’s President and CEO, received The Transportation Security Forum Award at the ID People EMEA Awards on April 4, in Abu Dhabi.
This award is assigned to a recognized leader in the transportation sector, who has brought security and efficiency to hubs and networks to improve performance in airports, railroad stations or seaports. The judges of these awards are active players in the security, automatic identification, wireless and mobility community worldwide.
