Vision-Box attended Frontex’s Workshop on Biometric Technology for Border Control between the 1st and 2nd of October 2009. The workshop was held in Warsaw, Poland. The objectives of the workshop were to offer a platform for the exchange of Member States’ experiences and lessons learned, to facilitate the interactive discussion of technical and operational challenges and solutions, to help Member States in their decisions to acquire biometric technologies, and finally to support and inform about the ongoing work of the Commission in the preparation of its legislative proposal to amend the Schengen Borders Code for the use of such technologies.
