Vision-Box S.A., leader in automated border control systems and electronic identity solutions has reached a total of 33 Automated Border Control eGates across Finland, including the land border control point with Russia, in Vaalimaa, the Port of Helsinki and on the International Helsinki airport.
Lisbon, 1 June 2012 – vb i-match©, the fastest and thinnest ABC multimodal eGate ever produced and currently the state-of-the-art of its kind supporting iris, fingerprint and face recognition validation will allow passengers to proceed in a quick, easy and secure way through border control procedures, assuring validation of electronic ID documents in 100% of the cases.
Spread out over the Finnish territory, vb i-match© eGates are facilitating air, land and sea border control and, at the same time, a positive traveler experience. In a recent study made by the Finnish authorities, 82% of the passengers that used Vision-Box´s e-gates were satisfied or extremely satisfied with the system. Additionally, vb i-match© allows for bidirectional passenger flow at the Port of Helsinki and a pilot has started at Helsinki Airport, to additionally control passengers from visa exempt countries (started already with Japanese nationals), a unique achievement within the industry.
